Books are such fun ways to learn about things and places you’ll never get to see or do. Or maybe inspire you to go, see, and do! Lonely Planet Kids sent me 3 awesome books to review, and I’m here to share them with you.
The Daredevil’s Guide to Dangerous Places is a fun book that has you joining “hazard hunters” Eddie and Junko as the explore the most dangerous places on earth. What we personally loved about this book is that they explored the Northern Territory of Australia and found the “biggest, fiercest reptiles around.” This is right in our own back yard!
Along with the Northern Territory, you’ll places like Tornado Alley, Atacama Desert, Poison Garden, the Cave of Death, the Forest of Knives, and much more!
Have you ever wondered how airports work? Where does your luggage go after you check-in? What does the inside of the control tower look like? I found this books to be so fascinating! This is an interactive book with heaps of flaps to lift and learn more.
This book came as we were studying ancient history – perfect timing! In Ancient Wonders – Then & Now you’ll learn about the Great Pyramid of Giza, Stonehenge, the Colosseum, Easter Island, Angkor Wat, and many more ancient wonders.
You open the pages to see what they looked like when they were built and what they look like now. This books also has flaps you can open to learn more. You can see in this photo my son is reading about the Colosseum. It’s so cool!
